Plastic bread bags take up to 1,000 years to degrade, breaking into harmful microplastics that pollute ecosystems. For a product lasting only two weeks, this creates an unsustainable environmental footprint. The Paper Bread Bag offers a renewable, compostable alternative, addressing the baking industry's reliance on single-use plastics.
Redefining Bread Packaging
The Paper Bread Bag was developed by combining renewable paper with plant-based wax, ensuring durability and sustainability. Inspired by dry bags, its closure system was refined to provide a secure, convenient solution without sacrificing usability. Prototypes were tested for functionality, and branding was added to highlight printability and product identity.
